How we got here
From a wine subscription to changing an industry with Physical AI.
Launched HOMEWiNE, a wine subscription
Started as a new business inside Custom Life Inc., delivering wine on a subscription.
Built the wine decanting machine (v2)
Developed our own machine that refills bottles without losing quality. This became the starting point of our robotics work.
Founded WineTubes Inc.
Set up the company behind HOMEWiNE and began running our own warehouse — where the question “could more of this be automated?” first came up.
Launched the HOMEWiNE STORE
Opened the online store. Between subscription, e-commerce and education, HOMEWiNE grew into one of Japan’s leading wine services.
Launched HOMEWiNE ACADEMY
A wine education service with video lessons led by sommelier Sasaki, one of the field’s leading instructors.
Completed the decanting machine v3
The hardware that became the technical foundation for our robotics business.
Started the AI and robotics business
Problems on the floor of the wine business led us into industrial automation with Physical AI.
Moved headquarters to the factory site
Relocated to Shikahama, Adachi-ku, Tokyo, running as both an office and a linen supply factory.
Renamed to Omotenashi Robotics
WineTubes Inc. became Omotenashi Robotics Inc., taking on the transformation of industries facing labour shortages with Physical AI.
Linen supply factory “Sakura 2” went live
Began full service for hotels, ryokan and other accommodation providers.
